Over 700+ miles of single track surround this small mountain town. Our goal is to show you just a taste of our favorite descents in the area. Exploring 5 different valleys around Crested Butte you’ll get a great mix of what this area has to offer. Prepare for long lung busting climbs, rewarded with long and fast descents to the valley below on pristine single track.
We have multiple trips to Crested Butte during the summer and fall season. Whether you want to experience the wildflowers or the changing of the leaves, Ride Local has you covered. After each day’s ride we’ll enjoy post ride refreshments and food in down town Crested Butte. Then do it all again the next day.
If you can't commit to a 4 day trip, no problem. We offer half-day and full day rates for those wanting to ride quality trails with good company.

Trip itinerary
Day One:
Welcome to the Butte! Take the morning to get the bikes set up then head out for a fun afternoon lap. The trails around town offer great bang for the buck. Pedaling up to the mid-way point on the ski area, we’ll then descend 2,000ft back to town for beers and pizza.
Day Two:
Biggest ride of the weekend, expect spectacular views at the expense of low oxygen. Heading deep into Cement Creek we’ll ride a massive loop off trail 400. Two long climbs with some hike-a-bike sections await, but the descents are some of the best in the area. Tackling 4,000ft of vertical, expect to be out on the bike close to 6 hours today.
Day Three:
Today we’ll check out some of our favorite loops the next valley up in Brush Creek. Expect technical climbs followed by fast flowy descents. Trail 409.5 to Strand Hill is quintessential Crested Butte single track. The numbers trim down to 3,000ft of vertical today over 4 hours of riding. That evening enjoy dinner at one of our favorite restaurants in Crested Butte.
Day Four:
Enjoy the Sunday morning then head out for one of Crested Butte’s most awesome descents, Doctor’s Park. 3,000ft of descending over 6 miles is the doctor’s orders. It’s an awesome ride to cap an already awesome weekend. High fives at the trailhead then say our good byes.

What to Expect:
Partnering with Colorado Backcountry Guides, Ride Local is privileged to offer ride trips to Crested Butte. The home base of Ride Local, we are honored to share our backyard with anyone visiting this awesome mountain town. Summer time in the Rockies is one of the best times to visit with plenty of things to do. The amount of trails this area has is incredible, and we are always finding new trails to share with others. Whether you are joining us for our weekend trips or just visiting for the day. Please do not hesitate to contact us about linking up for a ride.
All rides here start at 9,000ft, be prepared for long sustained climbs at high altitudes. Averaging 3,000ft of vertical a day throughout the weekend, we’ll have to earn every bit of it. The descents are not overly technical but they are fast, long and remote. Prepare to be out riding 2-6 hours a day. Fit mountain bikers whom are comfortable with long days in the saddles in the backcountry will love this weekend adventure.

Our trips are designed with groups in mind, we highly encourage you to invite your friends and family to take advantage of our discounted group pricing.

Single Room Lodging Upgrade:
Room arrangements usually have 2-3 people per room with its own bathroom. We do this in order to keep the costs down, but understand this cannot apply to everyone. For people wanting single room lodging that is no problem at all but is an extra charge.
